Maha Ashtami Cards

Maha Ashtami is on Monday, 22nd October 2012.
Devi Durga is the reflection of your Kundalini Shakti. It is that power that resides at the base of the spine and rises to meet Shiva. When the Kundalini is awake, the person is truly enlightened.

Maha Ashtami

Ashtami is the highest point of celebration in the four day long celebration. It is the day Goddess Durga kills Mahishasura, the buffalo-demon. Devotees are once again awed at her courage and power. Falling at her feet they ask for her blessings. 108 lamps are lighted to commemorate the Sandhipuja – when Durga turned into the fearful Chamunda to wipe off the evil and protect the innocent.
